A 'Best of Britain' mobile phone application, developed by VisitBritain and Samsung, should help inbound tourists make the most of their time in the UK.

Although exclusive to Samsung customers, the app promises to be the "ultimate tool" for visitors; offering fresh, up-to-date content about where to go, what to do and how to get there.

Thanks to its mapping facility, it'll no doubt be a hit with guests; no matter whether they are on foot or travelling by hire car. Its search facility additionally displays a wide range of events, festivals, accommodation and food places nationwide.

According to the application's developing agency, Apadmi, the app has been designed with clear navigation so it is as easy to use as possible.

Speaking on How-Do.co.uk, Apadmi CEO Garry Partington explained: "The app is the official guide to the best places to visit around Britain, illustrated with stunning imagery, and is intended to inspire tourists to explore the whole of the UK.

"It features an animated carousel interface together with clear navigation and Apadmi has also developed a back-end content management system so that it can be easily updated on a regular basis."

Travel Daily News added that the app will also come packed with geo-location and social media sharing facilities, like Facebook integration, so that visitors can show off their trips to friends at home.
